Houzz is my all time favorite for inspiration. So I went to their website to see what their opinion was ... Are valances in style anymore? ...

    I don't care if valances are out of style or not because I love all of them. I'm thinking of putting bamboo shades in my living room and kitchen since they both face the west and I get way too much sun there. Right now, in the living room I have a sheer with tab curtains over it.

    Some areas don't have many other options so I still like them and have plans for valances in my kitchen over the bamboo shades. So "yes", I'm a fan! ;)
