Ok ... so I am at the doctor yesterday complaining discussing my left hip and how painful it is getting. I think I said something along the lines of ... "If I am like this now, what am I going to be like in 10 years?"
I love the all the things that I do and I am not wanting to stop anytime soon! According to my amazing doctor (that I travel an hour to see because she is absolutely the Bestest ever!) ... I have bursitis. Ok, really? The only time I heard that word spoken, was when I was a kid and my dad watched old Westerns on TV. For hours. It was always the old cowboys who had it. I am a suburban woman and not that old. Thank you very much! So what caused it? Painting two rooms and installing blinds. AKA ... up and down the ladder 50 million times. I guess I am not a spring chicken. More along the lines of a summer chicken. LOL I don't think there is such a thing, but in my case it fits. Any way, I am to take ibuprofen, ice it, and stay off ladders until it heals or I have to get a shot in the joint. No. thank. you! So what does a woman who loves to do projects do? How about another EASY gift idea?
I have an amazing daughter who's Kryptonite is laundry. She hates despises it. I was telling her that I was going to share what I made for her, and she asked, "Are you going to say how many piles I have? Dirty and clean piles? Even folded ones in baskets that I haven't put away? I told her, "No, I would never say that!"She said, "You can. I don't care. It's the truth." So ... ok, now you know what her Kryptonite is and she has piles of it everywhere. LOL
I wanted to make something cute for her laundry room to make it more fun to be in. :) Aren't I a good Mom?! Hee Hee. Here was my idea.
Step One ...
Go to "Google" Images, and find a cute picture of a clothes line with clothes. With teddy bear.
Step Two ...
Type the definition of Laundry... Like she doesn't already know! :)
***I typed it a bit different and you will see this in the next image :) |
Step 3 ...
Add the two together.
Don't forget to make it personal ...
Step 4 ...
Add a piece of colored paper to match the color in her laundry room. And, put it all in a frame.
Very easy, yet looks great!
Just for fun ... add in a little one who loves to take pictures too
... and thinks the subject is, HER!
I have loved reading what the rest of you lovely ladies are up too!
Hugs and make it a great week!
I am linking too ...

ReplyDeleteSuper cute picture! I love the idea of putting the definition in a frame and using as art. :-) I'm going to have to do this one for my laundry room. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope your hip is better soon. Have a wonderful night!

What a cute cute project! Thanks for sharing with the newbie party. Always fun to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteI love the art work. Did you print the picture, then print the words on it? or did you do it all at once before printing? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDirty laundry....... the store of my life.
ReplyDeleteSo bursitis huh? My dad had it in his shoulder so I never knew you could get it other places. I have a right hip issue, I was thinking arthritis. Maybe I should go see your doc, that is if she is one hour MY direction.
