This garden was put in, in one weekend, after I said to my husband on a Saturday morning, "Let's play pretend" and then gestured out to our boring empty lawn. I am the luckiest woman in the world to have a Man who agrees with my ideas and even gets dirty doing it. (We do not look our best while working on the yard but we sure have fun!) Digging out the grass, (fixing a sprinkler line that, um, someone cut through), truckloads of dirt and mulch and of course add in the plants. It was an amazing weekend. We have since added block around the border and it looks marvelous.
Funny thing is ... people thought we were getting ready for a graduation party. Nope, it was just "because" :)
***a side note ... the pictures at the end of the movie? It is our back yard.
Have a great week using your imagination,
If it wasn't for imagination, I'd go a bit crazy each day, I think...
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should take up gardening! O_O

Imagination is sometimes reality for writers, artists and people who can see that purple giraffe standing in a field of marshmallows...:)

You know what separates us boring adults from magical children? Imagination. Reality is the antithesis of imagination. Imagination is the closest thing to magic--though I've heard that love is, but what makes mermaids sing and elves dance? Imagination of course! ;)
